Great addition that the dimmer is now included, however I feel the light itself could be more balanced, and it tilts heavy in the blue’s and greens, hence it looks very different from the other Twinstar series, its not whitish red or the B or E/S, and its not a cool white like my C series, that being said it most certainly has increased plant activity and does and advertised, within 10-20 minutes almost always has plants pearling.

I’m extremely happy with my light fixture. It looks wonderful on my 55 gallon aquarium. I love the fact that it has a timer and adjustable brightness.And the sunrise Sunset feature is also very niceThe one thing I was a little disappointed with is the fact that the mounting pieces are designed for a rimless tank. My aquarium is an acrylic aquarium. And simply setting the light fixture on top of the acrylic top would eventually scratch or slide off, causing more damage. So I was able to figure out a nice solution.By ordering acrylic handles and making some very minor adjustments to the fixture mounting bracketHere are a couple of photos of the adjustment madeThe first adjustment is to cut the tiny pieces of plastic out of the center of the plastic feet to allow the fixture to sit smoothly on the acrylic candles Second is to add a little bit of hot glue to either end of the fixture feet to prevent sliding on the handles. This glue is not too permanently, set the fixture to the handle, but to just prevent sliding due to bumping or possible earthquakes

The light has great features and the colors it produces is awesome. My only complaint is for Buceplant. They shipped the light in just a bag. This could have been easily damaged. Luckily I live in California so it didn’t go through tons of shipping hands and have the chance to be mishandled. A light that cost this much should be shipped in a appropriate box with shipping material.

The color is crisp and sharp. It’s a bit cooler than my older Twinstar E series, but brings out amazing colors, and even looks great side by side with the old one. It’s plenty bright enough for a tall tank- I’m running half intensity on a standard proportioned tank. I have all my other tanks on a twelve hour photoperiod because that gives me a little time to enjoy them before and after work, but this timer has 6,8, and 10 hour options. Oh well. The light is good enough to justify an appliance timer in addition.

Extremely happy with this light so far. Set up took a couple minutes. It fits my 6. 3 gallon UNS long tank perfectly. It looks so sleek. What I love even more is when I turn it off to do something and turn it back on, the light remembers the light cycle I chose! Idk how but that’s pretty convenient. First, this light is beautiful and works well. The inline controller let’s you adjust the dim level, timer duration, and on/off status. My only complaint is the bracket is designed to be loose, both how it attaches to the metal light body and the tank. The former is so you can custom adjust it for different width tanks which is a great idea, but it doesn’t lock into place so easily moves if bumped. The latter means it slides along the glass edge of the tank. And together, they both mean that, if you bump or knock it too hard, at best it gets all out of alignment and at worst it can easily fall into the tank which i discovered in the first hour after installation. I immediatley unplugged it and was able to unscrew the 2 screws on each end and it easily came apart so I could let it dry out and it works perfectl after, but this really is an easy design flaw that could be fixed. The sliding bracket adjustment should lock and, where it sets on the tank glass, it needs some sort of silicone pad to give friction, or even maybe just some sort of simple clamp. I actually took a little bit of black electrical tap and wrapped it around the bracket rods so it couldn’t slide. It’s not ideal, but its just too unstable without something.If it wasn’t for the flimsy bracket, this would be a 5-star light.

I don’t really like the controller options you cant set timer to whatever you want only have 6-8-10 hour options and there’s a bright light on controller that never shuts off wasting energy for no reason. Remote needs upgrade for timer or just take timer out and let customer plug into a timer. After setting your timer this bright light just stays on never goes off ? I hate that this light never shuts off WTH.
